A meeting of the Local Steering Committee for the Good Governance Partnership
program jointly implemented by the Council of Europe and the European Union
was held on February 25, 2022 in a video conference format
The event was organized to review the implementation of projects carried out
under the program, to further strengthen ties between national partners and
organizations.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Farid Adilov, Head of the International relations
and protocol services department of the State Committee for Family, Women and
Children Affairs and Aytekin Hajiyeva, Chief Adviser of the Women problems and
gender affairs department.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Farid Adilov informed about the measures taken
and planned within the program of the State Committee together with the Baku
Office of the Council of Europe.
He noted the active participation of representatives of the State Committee in
Georgia last year, a workshop organized by the Baku Office of the Council of
Europe to promote seminars on gender stereotypes and violence against women
in the regions, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of violence
against women and domestic violence. He informed the participants that joint
cooperation in this direction will be continued.
The event was attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the Council of
Europe (CoE), the Baku Office of the CoE, the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, the
National Coordinator for PGG, as well as national partners.
