Dear media, civil society representatives and social network users.
We once again call on parents, families and every member of our society to be more attentive to children, to take care of them, to be sensitive to their needs and desires, and to apply to the relevant government agencies in case of negative situations.
However, we express our concern about the violations of ethical rules in relation to children victims of violence during the publicization of cases of violence against children, including the failure to use a baby face filter during the dissemination of visual images (video, photo) of a child victim (children), their personal data, names and addresses. When publicizing such sensitive issues, the child's best interests should come first.
According to the relevant international norms and national legislation to which our country is a party, no child may be the object of the unlawful interference with his or her private and family life, the inviolability of his or her privacy .
When we publicize cases of violence against children who are victims of violence, we harm the best interests of the child and thus act against the interests of the victim of violence.
We urge each of you to be more sensitive to children who have been victims of violence, and to refrain from actions that contrary to the child's core interests, interfere with his or her privacy, and serve to disclose personal information.
We call on the relevant authorities to conduct regular monitoring of educational institutions, including kindergartens, nurseries, boarding schools, specialized medical institutions and other places, and to inform the public about the negative facts.
