On December 22, 2021 the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Social Research Center jointly organized a conference on the results of public opinion survey and sociological research entitled "Family relations in Azerbaijan: socio-psychological analysis".

The Chairman of the Social Research Center, Mr. Zahid Oruj emphasized in his welcoming speech that family relations, the impact of the national family model, and the expected results would be the main themes of the event.

The Chairperson of State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Mrs. Bahar Muradova, welcoming the participants, noted the importance of analysis in the sphere of family issues in terms of exchange of opinions on state family policy, historical evolution of Azerbaijani family and current transformations, increasing its role in life of our state and society.  She also noted that historically the institution of the family has been perceived as the core of the union of women and men, based on love, mutual respect and other approaches, which plays an important role in shaping the political, economic and cultural environment of the state.

Further, Mr. Anar Karimov, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, said that social reforms led by the President continue and one of the main directions is protection of families, passing traditional family values to the younger generation, women's and children's rights protection.

During the event, a video on "Modern Family Relations in Azerbaijan: Social and Psychological Analysis" was shown.

The conference continued with discussions.
