As a continuation of the measures taken by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education to inform adolescents and young people on various topics in educational institutions on October 27, 2021 on early marriage and the negative consequences of in-law marriage. An event was held with the participation of students of the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Public Catering and Services.

Speaking at the event, Kamila Aliyeva, Deputy Head of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee, noted that early marriages and marriages between relatives are one of the problems of our society, and spoke in detail about the negative consequences of such marriages. At the same time, in her speech, K.Aliyeva informed the participants about the legislation on the prevention of early marriages and marriages between relatives, the adopted normative-legal documents.

Zumrud Kazimova, a methodologist at the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health, said that early marriage had a negative impact on girls 'health and psychological condition, leading to unwanted pregnancies, maternal and infant deaths, and disruption of girls' reproductive systems. She recommended building a family life after the persons fully understood that they were physiologically and psychologically ready for family life.

In conclusion, Rahimova Yagut, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs of the Baku State Vocational Training Center for Public Catering and Services, stressed the importance of such events.
