Issues such as ensuring the effectiveness of protection of children in the migration process, protection and strengthening of security, ensuring effective management of work, prevention of violence against children and control measures were discussed during the meetings.
They also discussed the commitments of the Council of Europe's Steering Committee for the Rights of the Child under the Council of Europe's Action Plan for the Protection of the Rights of Vulnerable Persons in the Context of Migration (2021-2025).
Prior to the meeting, the Council of Europe member states submitted to the relevant Committee of the Council of Europe proposals on the issues that should be given more attention in specific areas covering the rights of migrant children and the steps taken in this area.
