State Committee volunteers participated in the training on gender-based violence

Within the framework of cooperation between the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the initiative group "For Women", 4-day training was held with the participation of Committee volunteers.

During the trainings, gender expert Saadat Abdullazadeh made a presentation on "What is Gender-Based Violence?" And lawyer Vafa Rustam made a presentation on "How the legal fight against gender-based violence should be conducted?" The trainers informed the participants about the types of violence, including the causes and consequences of domestic and gender-based violence, and ways to combat it. The problems of early marriage and selective abortion were discussed, the rules of writing complaints, applications (including claims, protection orders), various examples of cases, and their initial solutions were explained to the volunteers and interactive group work was carried out.

The questions of the volunteers were answered during the training.
