A meeting was held with members of the Expert Council to discuss issues arising from the implementation of the Law on Protection of Children from Harmful Information

On July 1, 2021, an online meeting of members of the Expert Council and the Competition Commission established by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs was organized to discuss issues arising from the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Protection of Children from Harmful Information".

Deputy Chair of the State Committee, Chairman of the Expert Council and Competition Commission Aynur Sofiyeva greeted the participants and noted the importance and purpose of the meeting. He noted that the main issue on the agenda was the exchange of views and division of labor on the study of best practices in the activities of the Expert Council. At the same time, the Committee stressed the importance of covering the issue in the media and social networks to draw public attention to the importance of the competition for the issuance of qualification certificates to experts on the age classification of information products under Article 13 of the Law on Protection of Children from Harmful Information.

Aysel Hadiyeva, representative of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Nemat Javadov, representative of the National Television and Radio Council, Elshad Aliyev, representative of the Ministry of Culture, Elmira Mirzayeva, independent expert, psychologist, Kamala Gahramanova, independent expert, pedagogue-psychologist and Members of the commission spoke and voiced their views and suggestions on the relevant topic.

At the end of the discussions, Aynur Sofiyeva stressed the importance of holding regular meetings with the participation of members of the Expert Council and the Competition Commission.
