Starting from June 31, 2021, the Aghdam Child and Family Support Center (UADM) of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs is implementing the project "Psycho-social support for children and families in the postwar period" in Imamgulubeyli settlement of Aghdam.
360 students from different schools of the settlement, including veterans and families of martyrs who took part in the Great Patriotic War, participated in the project. It should be noted that 60 students were additionally involved in the project at the request of parents.
Every day during June, psycho-social classes and interactive games were organized with the participation of teachers and employees of the center, including social workers and psychologists of Goranboy UADM, family members. The trainings were held in accordance with the quarantine rules.
One of the main goals of the project is to instill in parents the skills of successful communication with children. Taking into account this point, the participation of parents in the lessons was provided. In order to develop positive communication skills during the trainings, parents were visually shown various games with children, as well as booklets explaining the rules of psychosocial support in the family were distributed. Such an approach motivates parents in terms of successful communication with children, and leads to strong communication and dialogue through positive parent-child relationships.
