Azerbaijan has been included in the list of countries assessing reforms at the UN

It was said by UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ghulam Isakzai, who ended his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, at a farewell meeting with the Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova on 10 June 2021.

Welcoming the guests, Bahar  Muradova thanked the UN representative for his fruitful and valuable services in his diplomatic career, as well as for his contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation.

She noted that in recent years the work of the UN and a number of its agencies with the Government, society, and the Parliament of Azerbaijan had been quite intensive. Mrs.Muradova appreciated Isakzai's work in Azerbaijan, noting his role in achieving important results among UN representatives.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and kind words addressed to him, Ghulam Isakzai mentioned the important measures taken together with the Government of Azerbaijan during his five-year activity, noting that all the work done during this period had produced significant results. He expressed satisfaction with his diplomatic work in Azerbaijan and said that these years had been a rich experience in his life.

Mr.Isakzai also stressed that his work coincided with an important historical moment in Azerbaijan's history, the return by Azerbaijan of its lands.

Speaking about large-scale projects implemented in cooperation with the  State Committee, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan highlighted the achievements in the field of gender equality and stressed that the Committee is a valuable and close partner of the UN.

Mrs.Muradova noted that the State Committee always pays special attention to cooperation with the UN. She once again praised Mr. Isakzai's diplomatic service to Azerbaijan and wished him success in his future work.
