On 18 May 2021 an international online scientific and practical conference was held on the theme "Current trends in strengthening the institution of the family: national and foreign experience", organized by the Makhalla and Family Research Institute of the Ministry of Support to Mahalla and Family Affairs.

The conference was attended by representatives of government and civil society institutions, experts from Uzbekistan and representatives of partner government agencies and international organizations from foreign countries.

The Head of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Gulnara Mammadova, made a presentation at the conference on "Development of State Family Policy in Azerbaijan: Modern Azerbaijani Family and National Moral Values".

In her speech, Mrs.Mammadova talked about the family policy in Azerbaijan, the approved State programs for women and children and National Action Plans, as well as the measures taken by the Committee to preserve and transmit national and spiritual values to future generations. She also informed the audience about the projects implemented to improve the social welfare of vulnerable families.
