An event on "Family Planning and Reproductive Health"

On April 26, 2021 the next event was held in an online format to increase the knowledge of adolescents and young people on reproductive health and family planning, the formation of safe sexual habits for students of Shirvan State College of Economics and Humanities.

Mrs. Kamila Aliyeva, the Deputy Head of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, noted that further strengthening the protection of maternal and child health in Azerbaijan, the development of adolescents and young people as a healthy generation is one of the priorities of state policy, informing about state programs, adopted laws and measures taken in this field, as well. Making a presentation entitled "Family Planning, Reproductive Health", Mrs. Aliyeva spoke in detail to the participants about the benefits of family planning, general recommendations for the protection of reproductive health.

Later Mrs. Zumrud Kazimova, a methodologist at the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health, spoke about the problems of reproductive health in adolescents and young people, and advised students to pay attention to their health from an early age.

At the end of the event, the questions of the participants were answered. In conclusion, Mrs. Aida Asadova, a biology teacher at the Shirvan State College of Economics, made a speech on the topic. About 50 students and teachers benefited from the event.
