The State Committee has launched professional development training for social workers and psychologists

Opening ceremony of the training for the social workers and psychologists working in women and children's shelters in case of emergency, special situation, and pandemic, organized by the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs and the American Council for International Education was held on April 19, 2021.
Opening the training Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the chairman of the State Committee, said that women and children from risk groups are always in the center of attention all over the world and Azerbaijan. The work of social workers, psychologists working in various shelters, service and assistance centers, who are specialists in this field, is undeniable. Noting that the number of people living in this situation in any society is growing and they face more risks in emergencies, the chairman of the Committee stressed that working with vulnerable families is the main issue on the agenda. She noted that Azerbaijan has a unique experience and pursues a sustainable policy in this direction and our country is trying to properly implement the issues arising from international agreements and domestic legislation.
Mrs. Bahar Muradova stressed that the State Committee attaches special importance to cooperation with international partners and organizations. She stressed that the project implemented jointly with the American Council for International Education based on the US experience will contribute to the development of professionals working with children living in difficult conditions, and play an important role in their future activities.
