On February 5, 2021, an online conference was held to mark the 15th anniversary of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs.

Prior to the conference, representatives of the Committee visited the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyr. First the grave of national leader of the Azerbaijani people Haydar Aliyev was visited, then the memory of martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored.

The Chairperson of the Committee, Mrs. Bahar Muradova, in her welcoming speech at the videoconference noted the work done and measures taken in the field of family, women and children policy over the past 15 years.

Mrs. Muradova noted, that fifteen years ago the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Affairs was established by Presidential Decree on the basis of the State Committee on Women's Affairs.

During these years, the Committee has successfully implemented policies on family, women, children and gender issues, as well as coordinated the work between the relevant institutions.

During the online conference, a film reflecting the State Committee's 15 years of activity was screened.  Afterwards, anniversary greetings from international organizations cooperating with the State Committee were noted.

Continuing her speech, Mrs. Bahar Muradova mentioned that a network of volunteers has been formed around the State Committee who are actively involved in the Committee's activities.

Mrs. Muradova also highlighted the role of the Child and Family Support Centres as well as Resource Centres in the implementation of the Committee's policy in the regions.

The Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Mrs. Ramilya Seidova congratulated the staff of the State Committee on its 15th anniversary and wished the Committee success in its future work.

Then the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev's order on awarding the employees of the State Committee was presented.

The Chairperson of the Milli Majlis Mrs. Sahiba Gafarova and the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children's Issues Mrs. Hijran Huseynova were awarded with a commemorative medal of the State Committee.

Employees who have performed well were awarded certificates and letters of appreciation. Moreover, international and local non-governmental organizations and media collaborating with the State Committee were awarded.
