Bahar Muradova met with the Jordanian ambassador

Mrs. Bahar Muradova,  Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs met with Mr. Sami Asem Ghosheh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of   Azerbaijan on January 21, 2021.

Welcoming the guest, Mrs. Bahar Muradova thanked for the initiative of the meeting. Emphasizing that the cooperation between our countries has historical roots, the chairman of the Committee said that these relations are developing on an upward trend and create opportunities for further development of existing cooperation between the institutions representing the countries.

Mrs. Bahar Muradova spoke about Azerbaijan's historic victory expressed hope that the position of both the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation during the 44 days of the war will continue in the post-war period and that our friendly relations will play an important role in resolving existing problems.

Mr. Sami Asem Ghosheh thanked the Chairman of the Committee for the warm welcome. He noted that Heydar Aliyev and the late Jordanian leader King Hussein laid the foundation of friendship between our peoples, and today these relations are further strengthened due to the sincere brotherhood relations between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and King II  Abdullah ibn Hussein al-Hashim.

The ambassador noted that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan are based on the same traditions and Islamic values, and stressed the importance of further developing cooperation between our countries in the field of family, women and children, as well as in other areas. Evaluating the projects implemented by the Committee Mr. Ghosheh added that they are interested in holding joint events with Azerbaijan in the coming years.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nemat Agali, a representative of the embassy and the head of the Foreign Relations and Protocol Service of the Committee Sabina Manafova.
