The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, regularly conducts awareness-raising activities in educational institutions to promote healthy lifestyles.

Online event “consanguineous marriage” was held as a continuation of these measures for the students of Baku Vocational School on December 11, 2020.

Participants of the event were informed about the activities of the Committee, the "Rules for educating young people about the importance of family and marriage, the negative consequences of early marriage and consanguineous marriage in order to protect and strengthen it." They spoke about the awareness-raising activities carried out by the Committee in Baku and the regions of the country in order to form children and youth as a healthy generation.

Then, a doctor-methodologist of the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health,  made presentation on “Relative marriage. Thalassemia and Hemophilia” and informed the students about the genetic and a number of incurable diseases, their symptoms and treatment.
