The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs continues to work on assessing the problems and issues arising from the war crimes committed by Armenia during the Great Patriotic War from September 27 to November 10, 2020 and work with families affected by terrorist acts.

The Committee actively involved social workers and psychologists from the Aghdam and Goranboy Child and Family Support Centers and held regular meetings with civilians and children affected by the war and involved them in various psychological and developmental activities.

About 500 children from different age groups benefited from the activities of Aghdam and Goranboy  Child and  Family Support Centers. Art and game therapy were used to normalize the psycho-emotional state of children during individual and group sessions. The social workers of the centers visited more than 100 families in Barda, Aghdam, Goranboy and Naftalan city, took an active part in solving their social problems and provided them with psychological support.

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs , with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), launches a new project to improve the psychosocial status of families in the post-war period. The project will initially cover Ganja city and Goranboy region.
