A meeting was held with the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan

Mrs. Bahar Muradova , Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs met with Mr. Bahrom Ashrafkhanov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 23, 2020.
Mrs. Bahar Muradova stressed that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have always had close friendly relations. She also noted about the activities of the State Committee.
Noting Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the chairperson of the State Committee said that Azerbaijan has just liberated a large part of its territory in a short period of time. She stressed that Uzbekistan is one of the countries that always supports Azerbaijan and does not have any diplomatic mission in Armenia.
Mr. Bahrom Ashrafkhanov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the close and friendly relations between two countries. The ambassador noted that great work had been done to increase the representation of women in the social, economic, and political spheres in Azerbaijan. He noted that Uzbekistan has implemented a number of support programs to expand the economic activities of women and youth, and actively involve them in entrepreneurship as Azerbaijan .
