The winners of the "Best Essay" contest on the theme "Invisible Heroes", announced by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs from April 15 to May 15, 2020 as part of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic were awarded.

The "Invisible Heroes" competition reflected the work of health workers, police and emergency services, who showed courage and determination during the pandemic. The presented essays were evaluated and decided by the Jury.

Taking into account that the theme of the contest aroused great interest not only among children but also among adults, two nominations were determined: "The best essay among writers and journalists" and "The best essay among schoolchildren".

On September 15, 2020 an award ceremony was held in the State Committee.  Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Deputy Chair of the Committee Mrs.Sadagat Gahramanova congratulated the winners and thanked them for their interest and participation in this contest.

Mrs.Gahramanova, referring to the President's slogan "We are strong together", said that every citizen can join and contribute to this campaign by writing educational articles and informing others about the dangers.

The Deputy Chair Mrs.Aynur Sofiyeva also gave a speech, noting the urgency of this issue she called everyone to show solidarity during the pandemic. Pointing out the importance of children's active involvement in contests on this topic, she noted that work in this direction will continue.  She also congratulated the winners and wished them success in their future activities.

At the end of the contest, scriptwriter, film editor Rafik Samander and 8th grade student of secondary school № 2 Sama Guliyeva were announced as winners and awarded with diplomas and gifts.
