Information about the events which will be held by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs on the occasion of 1st June- International Children’s Day

Every year the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs organizes succession events on the occasion of 1st June- International Children’s Day. Participation of the children deprived of parental care, limited health opportunity, from other nationalities, as well as children of refugee and internally displaced families is especially intended. In this regard, the Committee will organize an excursion to the “Gala” State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve for the children who suffered from diabetes mellitus together with Azerbaijani Diabetes League. The main purposes of the field trip are to organize the recreational time of children suffered from diabetes mellitus, likewise acquaint children with “Gala” State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve. Moreover, show them antiquity and abundance of Azerbaijani history.Then, another field trip will take place at Caspian Energy Center located at BP-operated Oil and Gas Terminal for the children of special Boarding-school No.11 by the Committee. The mission of the excursion is to organize the recreational time of children of the special Boarding-school No.1, as well as acquainted children with the oil products and oil-extracting tools at Caspian Energy Center. During the excursion children will be provided with food, presented various gifts as well. As a result of succession events, the event titled “Talented Children Festival-2014” will be held by the Committee together with Yarat! Contemporary Art Space. Nearly 200 children will participate in the event who have been winner and got high attainments in international contests and competitions on science, creative, art and sport fields and successfully represent the Republic of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, children will be awarded diplomas and presents by the Committee.
