One of the projects successfully implemented by the  State Committee for Family, Woman and Children Affairs in the direction of  preserving   and  passing traditions and national-spiritual, universal  values to young generation, bringing up the young generation in the spirit of respect to elder people, propaganda the culture of tolerance and peace in family relations using the abilities of cinematograph is the “Azerbaijani Family” film festival, already hold in 2009-2013-th years in cooperation with Haydar Aliyev Foundation and United Nations Population Fund.  The opening ceremony was held on 03.02.2014. More than 30 films and 20 photos were presented to the Committee. The winners selected by the jury consists of  distinguished scientists and representatives of cultural sphere were awarded on the closing ceremony on  22 May 2014 at 14.30 in Nizami cinema Centre.

First of all the video consist of films and photos presented to the Festival was demonstrated, after Chairman of State Committee for Family, Woman and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova welcomed guests, and congratulated all the participants of the Festival.  She stressed the role of Azerbaijans First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ambassador of Goodwill of UNESCO and Isesco Mehriban Aliyeva, UN Population Fund, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Azerbaijan State Culture and Art University in passing of this Festival.  She noted the efforts of our state in the direction of  preserving   and  passing traditions and national-spiritual, universal  values to young generation.  Also she noted that more than 170 films (including 13 foreign producers) were presented to the Committee.

Head Councilor of UN’s Population Fund’s Azerbaijan Representative Farid Babayev, the head of Public TV and Radio Djamil Quliyev spoking afterwards noted that the aim of this festival is to strengthen the spiritual values and family institute in society. They stressed the importance of such kind of film festivals in  promotion and development of film industry.

The participants of the Festival were awarded in nominations below: “The best student’s film”, “ The best TV film”, “ The best child’s role”, “ The best photo”, “ The best foreign film”, and “ The best idea”.  Also the nominations were: “ Special TV project”, “ The most watched film in social networks”, “ Special student’s film”, “Special social wheel”, “Special documental film”.
