The jointly project of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Sabunchu district Executive Power focused on engaging families in public libraries had been launched in the end of this year. This project highlights the important roles of libraries can play for families as learning spaces. The next event in the framework of the project was hold in the Sabunchu district’s Center of Leisure Time on 14 February of 2019.

Initially, the visitors placed  their gift books in a specially designed corner for the project.and a gift card for the Family Club were presented to them.

The event started with an artistic part. Participants of the event also got acquainted with children's drawings.

Deputy head of Sabunchu district Executive Power Rena Farajova opened the event by welcoming speech. She welcomed the attendees and noted that the reading plays an important role in educating the younger generation, enhancing their outlook and developing their thinking.

Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs Aynur Sofiyeva spoked about the importance of reading on spiritual and intellectual development of the society and emphasized the importance of the book in shaping the spiritual wealth of children and youth. She said that the project will play a great role in raising modern-minded, educated young people in Azerbaijani families.

Dilara Jabrayilova, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, told that love to reading and to the books must be teached from the childhood and the responsibility of parents is very important in this case.

Mehriban Abasguliyeva, the chairman of the Sabunchu district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Misirkhan Hasanov, the director of the Azerkitab Center, Shukatat Piriyeva, the employee of the Baku City General Directorate of Culture, Vusala Kerimova, Sabunchi District Leisure Center, Maleyka Muradova, Director of Sabunchu Youth House Ravanha Hashimova, director of Sabunchu District Centralized Library System Najibe Huseynova, Sabunchu District Youth and Sports Department Head Rakif Aliyev, Deputy Director of Social and Political Issues Department of Sabunchu District Justice Teymurov and Young Writer Amin Suqut spoked about the event.

At the end of the event, a memorial photo was taken with the participants.
