Educational activities on the prevention of violence against children were held by the Agdam, Shuvelan, Goranboy, Goygol, Ismayilli, Gabala, Saatli, Sabirabad, Hajigabul, Zardab, Zagatala Child and Family Support Centers of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.  

Employees of centers and related institutions, educational and medical workers, schoolchildren, students, members of expert groups of centers, psychologists and parents took part in events held in villages and towns, centers and educational institutions.

The experts who spoke at the events discussed the measures implemented in our country to prevent violence against children, the existing legislative acts, the protection of children according to the Council of Europe Convention "On the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Violence" (Lanzarote Convention) and the UN Convention "On the Rights of the Child" and informed the participants about the work done in the field.

It was noted that educational institutions, along with the family, are of special importance in the formation of children as personalities in society and in their proper education, so it is necessary for the relevant institutions to work in close cooperation in the fight against cases of violence.

In their speeches, psychologists informed parents about the traumas, communication problems and other complications caused by violence in children.

At the events, information was provided about the 860 Gender-based Violence Support Line and 116111 - Children's hotline, as well as social videos on the topic were shown and educational materials were distributed.
