Badminton tournament called "Sport is Life" was held among women in the penitentiary institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the eve of International Women's Day, March 8.

Representatives of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Baku City Youth and Sports Head Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan participated in the badminton tournament organized by the initiative of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation.

The main goal of organizing the event is the integration of women in the penitentiary into society, effective organization of their free time, increasing interest in sports, shaping their physical development and healthy lifestyle.

At the end of the tournament, the winners of the first 3 places were presented with valuable gifts and diplomas.
