The State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs held an event on the topic "Fighting the selection of the gender of the unborn child" with the participation of the students of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University located in Ganja, in order to implement the "Measure Plan for 2020-2025 on the prevention of pre-birth gender selection of children".

Opening the event with a welcome speech, Ms. Aida Gasimova, vice-rector for education affairs of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, and Ms. Khalida Mete, a representative of the Ganja City Executive Authority spoke about the importance of the topic.

Later, Mr. Rafig Mahmudov, an employee of the State Committee, spoke about "Selection of children's sex before birth: stereotypes and the problems they create", while Ms. Parvin Guliyeva, an employee of the Ministry of Health, spoke about "Reproductive health protection. Abortion and its consequences".

At the end, the film "To be not to be" was shown and the questions of the participants were answered.
