Coverage of information about women and children in the media is one of the factors that seriously affect the protection of their rights. Since topics related to women's and children's issues are treated sensitively in society, correct information in this field is of particular importance.
Taking into account the relevance of the topic, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs has prepared an educational tool that includes the principles of coverage of women's and children's issues in the media, based on international experience. The purpose of preparing the recommendations is to prevent the sharing of information in the media that will harm the rights and interests of women and children, and to support the media that serve the interests of society.
We ask media representatives, as well as users active on social media and bloggers, to familiarize themselves with a number of important points mentioned in the document regarding the preparation and dissemination of materials related to women and children, and to take them into account in their activities in order to contribute to the protection of women and children's rights, as well as the development of society.
We hope that these recommendations will help to form EFFECTIVE AND USEFUL tripartite cooperation between media representatives and the Committee, as well as relevant organizations operating in this field.
