On 6th December 2022 a meeting with representatives of the Women and Democracy Organization of Turkiye (KADEM) was held at the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
Welcoming the guests, Chief of Staff of the State Committee Ceyran Rahmatullayeva stressed the importance of developing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkiye. In particular, she drew attention to the successful participation of the Azerbaijani delegation at the 5th International Women and Justice Summit in Istanbul and spoke of the positive impact of such high-level events on the protection of women's rights.
In addition, Rahmatullayeva informed about the joint meetings held during the visit to Azerbaijan of a delegation headed by the Minister of Family and Social Services of Turkiye, Mrs. Darya Yanik.
She also noted the importance of the signed "Action Plan between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkiye on cooperation in the field of family, women and children policy.
Expressing satisfaction with their stay in Azerbaijan, the representatives of the KADEM organization expressed gratitude for the reception.
Noting the successful continuation of useful cooperation between the two countries in all fields, the representative of the organization stressed the importance of joint measures to protect women's rights and prevent gender-based violence.
The meeting was continued with discussion of possible cooperation in protection of women rights, and empowerment of women in Azerbaijan.
