These days, the successful performance of our girls' national team at the 44th World Chess Olympiad makes us happy, as always. We believe that the successes achieved by our girls will represent Azerbaijan in the world arena, and at the same time, will make an important contribution to the further increase and popularization of special interest in this intellectual sport.

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs also attaches great importance to the measures implemented in the direction of promoting interest in intellectual games among girls, forming analytical thinking skills and effectively organizing their free time. As the next project, chess tournaments and master classes were held in Gakh district with the participation of 170 girls from Oguz, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan districts with the joint organization of the State Committee, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to continue the work in this direction in other regions.
