The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs regularly organizes activities in the Educational Institution of the Ministry of Justice Penitentiary Service in the direction of effective organization of leisure time of children and their integration into society after leaving the institution.

As the next event, on August 5, 2022, a badminton tournament was held under the joint organization of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Baku City Youth and Sports Directorate and the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation.

The purpose of the event is to effectively organize the free time of teenagers in the Educational Institution, to form a healthy lifestyle and ensure their physical development.

In the official part of the event, Mr. Yashar Shakiliyev, the deputy head of the Educational Work Organization Department of the Penitentiary Service, Mrs. Jamila Bagirova, the head of the Department of Children's Problems of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Mr. Ragif Abbasov, the head of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department, and Mr. Ramil Hajiyev, the general secretary of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation made a speech and wished success to the participants of the tournament.

In the end, the winners of the mentioned sports were awarded diplomas by the organizers. At the same time, various sports equipment and other gifts were presented to the graduated children in order to regularly play badminton.

It should be noted that in order to improve the badminton skills of the children participating in the tournament, trainings were held by the teaching staff of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation on August 3-4.
