On April 14, 2022, a meeting was held in Jalilabad region with the members of the monitoring group on gender-based violence and violence against children in order to strengthen the implementation of the "National Action Plan to combat domestic violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2023", as well as to raise awareness to combat violence in the regions.

 

The Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee, Ms. Sadagat Gahramanova emphasized the need to take legal, social and preventive measures in response to cases of violence, as well as the placement of victims in shelters, if needed. During the meeting, Mrs. Gahramanova exchanged views with the participants about the role of municipalities and educational institutions in the prevention of domestic violence.
