Trainings on “Analysis of gender issues for gender coordinators”

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs, with the support of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), has launched an online training on "Analysis of Gender Issues for Gender Coordinators" covering all regions and cities of the country under the Good Governance for Local Development in the South Caucasus Program.
An online training was held with the joint participation of employees of the Executive Power of, mayors and executive representatives: On July 4- Lankaran city, Astara and Lerik region, July 6- Mingachevir and Yevlakh cities, July 7 -Sheki city and Oguz region, July 9 -Ganja city, Goranboy and Kurdamir regions, July 10 -Goychay, Agsu, Shamakhi and Ismayilli regions, July 11- Masalli, Jalilabad and Yardimli districts.
Sevinj Mammadova, Senior Adviser of the Department of Women's s and Gender Issues, represented the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs at the trainings and discussed the state women's policy existing legislation, measures taken to ensure gender equality and projects in this field.
The trainings included analysis of gender issues, SWOT analysis of the inclusion of gender equality in the action plans of local authorities, approaches and strategies, gender sensitivity indicators and etc. The trainings were also conducted by Nigar Safarova, a lecturer of the Department of Gender and Applied Psychology at Baku State University and one of the authors of the publication on “Practical Recommendations for Implementing Gender Equality Policy in Municipalities”.
