“Reproductive health. The consequences of early marriages ”

Since 2018, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Health jointly with the Ministry of Education, holds permanently events in direction of promotion of healthy lifestyle among young people and adolescents in the cities and districts of our Republic, promoting healthy lifestyle (bad complications of drug addiction, alcoholism, tobacco products ), and to educate young people in strengthening the fight against AIDS, prevention of thalassemia and non-infectious diseases, reproductive health and family planning.

On November 1, 2019 an event titled “Reproductive health. The consequences of early marriages." was held At Baku Vocational High School # 15 of the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Culture and Mastership for students-girls.

The event was opened by Yagut Isgandarova, Deputy Director of the Vocational School. She welcomed the event participants and thanked the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Ministry of Health for the organization of the event and underlined the importance of holding the event.

Nargiz Sadraddinbayli, consultant of the Family Problems Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, talked about the directions of work of the Committee and the work done in the direction of education of young generation of habits of national-spirutal values and healthy lifestyle, also she stressed that our republic has all necessary conditions to promote physical and mental healthy lifestyle for young generation. Afterwards she talked about the damaging consequences of early marriage, relative marriage, human trafficking, blood marriage, domestic violence and non-official marriage.

Then, Latafat Dadashova, deputy head of Health Policy and Planning Department of the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health, made a presentation on "Reproductive health. The consequences of early marriages."

After, the Committee's educational materials were presented to the event participants and featured short films about "One of them is me ", and social film "After" were released.
