Bahar Muradova met with a plenipotentiary representative of the United Nations Development Programme

On April 4, 2023 a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative a.i. Nuno Queiroz.
Welcoming the guests, Mrs. Bahar Muradova noted that numerous projects are successfully implemented in the framework of bilateral relations with the United Nations Development Programme.
Speaking of the projects aimed at empowering women, B.Muradova stressed the project on economic support to entrepreneurship and employment, within the framework of which Resource Centers have been established in 15 districts where hundreds of women have been involved in the process of becoming entrepreneurs.
B. Muradova emphasized the importance of opening new centers in the territories liberated from occupation and noted that the work carried out in this direction will occupy an important place in the joint activities.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception Nuno Queiroz, UNDP Resident Representative a.i., stressed the special importance of cooperation with the State Committee and briefed on important projects implemented within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
The UN official highly appreciated the activities of Women's Resource Centers operating in the regions to prevent gender-based violence, support women's economic activities, enhance their economic and financial skills, and support them in the future to build their own businesses.
Highlighting the issue of demining of territories liberated from occupation, He noted that the UN Development Programme is one of the closest partners of the government in this endeavor. 
He mentioned the successful implementation of work with people who returned to their homelands after the war and suffered from the conflict.
It was noted that a women's group for mine and explosive device disposal was established.
The meeting included a detailed exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest and a discussion of possible future cooperation projects.
