A meeting with the delegation led by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Moldova was held

Greeting the guests, the State Committee Chairperson, Mrs.Bahar Muradova, noted that the historical ties between the two countries are currently developing and strengthening in terms of economic, political and other relations. She also emphasized the high level of ties between the parliaments, governments, and societies of both countries.

Noting that both countries have suffered from separatism and have been involved in conflicts and wars, the Chairperson  stressed that the issue of the territorial integrity of both countries was always a priority: "I think that the achievements of Azerbaijan in recent years, especially the results achieved in relation to the conflict, can serve as a key to resolving conflicts in Moldova and other republics".

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Moldova Marcel Spatar mentioned that during his visit to Azerbaijan he was closely acquainted with the activities of social welfare centers "DOST", as well as rehabilitation centers, which are located in our country. Noting that the purpose of the visit to Azerbaijan together with the delegation headed by him is to further strengthen relations between the two countries, the Minister stressed the interest in expanding cooperation in other areas as well.

The Minister expressed his interest in obtaining broad information about the mechanism of the State Committee, including its structure and the measures and projects being implemented, in particular in the issues of protecting the rights of children, the care of children living in state institutions, and other areas.

During the meeting, Mrs.Bahar Muradova highlighted the work done by the State Committee in the field of child protection and the opportunities created by the government for children. 

She presented information on the services provided by child and family support centers in the regions, as well as the activities of monitoring groups to combat violence, , community and women's resource centers. Muradova also informed about the deinstitutionalization process in Azerbaijan.

The meeting continued with an exchange of views on the activities of both organizations and a discussion of possible opportunities for future collaboration.
