The Curriculum on Gender Equality in the Civil Service has been published

As a continuation of the work done to ensure gender equality in public administration and decision-making,  “Curriculum on Gender Equality in Civil Service” was published in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the first time.

The Curriculum designed to implement the relevant provisions of the Law on Guarantees of Gender Equality and the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women  which is important for conducting gender analysis of civil service recruitment, instructing civil servants in the field of gender equality and increasing sensitivity on gender issues, ensuring gender equality in the civil service,  eliminating sexual harassment in the workplace.

The curriculum consists of 3 chapters: “Conceptual Position”, “Objectives, Principles, and Content of the Curriculum”, “Assessment of Civil Service Performance” and “Recommendations for Ensuring the Implementation of the Curriculum”.

Considering the importance of the issues covered by the curriculum, it will make an important contribution to ensuring gender equality in  high position  and other positions  of the civil service. The resource is a useful source of information for civil servants, municipalities, students, teachers, researchers, lawyers and readers who are interested in gender issues.
