Meetings with parents were held on the topic "Family, family values and traditions"

Educational meetings among parents were held in secondary schools located in Baku for the purpose of implementation of Item 2.3.3 "Promotion of family values and traditions among the population, especially young people, and expansion of educational work in this area" of the "Action Plan for 2020-2025 on the Prevention of Prenatal Sex Selection of Children" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Department of Education for Baku City, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, a total of 346 parents participated in the meetings held in secondary school No. 57 named after martyr Tahir Hasanov of Narimanov district, secondary school No. 162 of Sabail district, and secondary school No. 194 named after Zakir Tofig oglu Yusifov located in Khatai district.

Ayten Sadigova, the director of secondary school No. 57, Nargiz Alekparova, director of secondary school No. 162, and Elnara Zeynalova, director of secondary school No. 194, spoke about the importance of education in this direction.

Gulnara Mammadova, the head of the Department of Family Affairs of the State Committee, who made the presentation, gave the participants extensive information about the preservation of family values and traditions, the main priority direction of the state family policy, the responsibility of the State Committee in this field and the work done.

Later, discussions were held with parents in the direction of family issues that concern the society, complications arising in family relationships and ways out of them.

The educational materials "Parent's Guide", "Recommendations for parents on the relationship with their children", "Be able to say no" prepared by the State Committee were distributed to the participants.
