On August 12, 2022, a chess tournament was held among girls in Ismayilli dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Khurshidbanu Natevan.

The tournament, which took place with the participation of 150 chess players from Gobustan, Shamakhi, Agsu, Ismayilli and Gabala regions, was jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, "Hopeful Future" PU and with the support of UNICEF at the Ismayilli Olympic Sports Complex.

Mrs. Aynur Sofiyeva, deputy chair of the State Committee noted that the organization of the chess game among girls is admirable and that the formation of strong, active, capable, self-confident women is one of the main directions of the state policy.

Mr. William Abi Abdallah, deputy representative of UNICEF in Azerbaijan, also noted the importance of the event and pointed out that the UN Children's Fund supports the project.

It should be noted that the project serves to further strengthen the state policy in this direction with the aim of promoting the interest in intellectual games among girls, achieving their active participation in this sport, and further developing their analytical thinking ability.
