The Department of Relations with Political Parties and Legislative Power of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs organized a video conference on "Values that protect statehood: democratic traditions and national unity" on May 26, 2021.

The video conference was attended by leaders and representatives of political parties, parliamentarians, non-governmental organizations, human rights activists. Mrs. Bahar Muradova, the chairperson of the State Committee congratulated all participants on the upcoming Republic Day.

Speaking later, Mr. Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairperson of the New Azerbaijan Party, stressed that the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was the first democratic republic in the Muslim East and  has an exceptional place  in the history of our modern statehood.

Mrs. Hijran Huseynova,  the chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Jala Aliyeva a member of the National Assembly, professor Rena Mirzazadeh were among the participants and they mentioned that holding such conferences played an important role in preserving national unity.
