Mrs.Sadagat Gahramanova participated in the conference "Women Scientists in the Fight Against COVID-19”

On February 11, 2021 the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Women's Council of ANAS  jointly organized an online conference on "Women Scientists on the Frontlines of COVID-19”.

During the opening speech, the Vice President of ANAS, Academician Mrs.Irada Huseynova welcomed the participants and noted that currently the main focus is on the study and development of socio-cultural aspects with the aim of achieving sustainable development in science, technology and innovation.

The academician spoke about the achievements of women scientists of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in this field.

The Deputy Chairperson Mrs. Sadagat Gahramanova welcomed the participants and wished them success in their activities.

Mrs. Gahramanova informed about the research conducted by the State Committee in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation in relations between individuals in families as a result of social isolation.

The survey was conducted among people over the age of 18. A total of 648 respondents participated in this survey, of whom 41.8% were men and 58.2% women.

According to the survey, 77% of the respondents had a good attitude towards the family, while 23% had an unsatisfactory attitude.

The Chairperson of the Women's Council of ANAS, professor Rena Mirzazadeh, the Head of the TABIB Department, Yagut Garayeva, and other women scientists made speeches during the event.

At the end of the conference, the speakers were presented with certificates.
